Marlén Viñayo is a Spanish-Salvadoran documentary film director, writer and producer. Her films "Cachada: The Opportunity" and "Unforgivable" have won 38 awards at prestigious film festivals worldwide, such as IDFA, HotDocs, SXSW, Slamdance, Palm Springs Shortfest or Telluride Film Festival, among many others. She was nominated for the Emmy Awards in 2019 and for the IDA Awards in 2020. In 2021 she won the Gabo Prize and was awarded as Ibero-American Filmmaker of the Year at POY Latam.
