  • Hemanth is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He is best known for his critically acclaimed Kannada directorial debut Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu (2016), featuring Anant Nag and Rakshit Shetty in lead roles. Hemanth worked as an associate director for movies like Gulabi Talkies (2008) and Prithvi (2010) before venturing into making his own independent films. He has also produced the satirical comedy Humble Politician Nograj (2018). In Bollywood, Hemanth worked as a screenwriter for Sriram Raghavan's Hindi feature Andhadhun (2018), a black comedy crime thriller. The film was a runaway success and received accolades for its writing as well as performances including the National Award for 'Best Hindi Film' and 'Best Adapted Screenplay', the International Indian Film Academy Award for 'Best Story', and the Filmfare Award for 'Best Screenplay' among others. His film, the Kannada investigative noir thriller Kavaludaari (2019), has been well-received by audiences and critics. Hemanth most recently wrote the film Maestro, a crime thriller about a piano player who pretends to be visually impaired. He is currently shooting his next Kannada feature Sapta Sagaradaache Yello as well as producing his next Kannada feature and working on his debut Hindi feature with a major production house.
