- Jane Larkin is an Australian actress, director, writer, and producer and former Australian professional elite sprint athlete. As an actor, Jane is best known for her role in MGM's Thirteen Lives (2022), directed by Ron Howard; portraying Penny in the Netflix series Boy Swallows Universe (2024); the Australian road trip mystery series Darby and Joan (2022); and NBC's Young Rock (2021). She cites working with Ron Howard as a career highlight.
Jane recently show-ran the independent feature film The Edge (2025), which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. Inspired by her experiences on the Australian and international athletics circuits, the film follows the lives of three female athletes. "The Edge" was selected for the 2025 lineup at the Gold Coast Film Festival before its domestic release on Netflix ANZ. It has gone on to be nominated for the Septimius Awards 2025 (Best Oceanian Film; Best Asian Actress).
Jane's role in the comedy short, "Breaking Up with Corona", earned her and her co-star the Best Romantic Comedy Micro-Film at the Portland Comedy Festival.
Jane is also formally trained internationally and domestically, finishing her studies at the Ivana Chubbuck Studio in California in 2021. Jane is also an elite sprint athlete who has represented Australia internationally. She also has stunt training, and is highly proficient in fight choreography, firearms and combat.
Jane holds a PhD in creative writing and philosophy, and has been a prolific writer and filmmaker since childhood. She is drawn to the force of entertainment as a means of education and believes film has the power to change the world.

- Jane Larkin is an elite Australian sprint athlete who has represented Australia multiple times at an international level in the 100 meters, the 200 meters and the 400 meters. She also competed at the Commonwealth Games Nomination Trials on the Gold Coast in 2018, and attended the World Youth Championships, the Youth Olympic Festival in her youth, as well as competing as an open athlete in the US, Canada, and all over Europe.
