Ella Alise Rogne is a Norwegian writer, director and cinematographer with a background in visual art, photography and graphic design. Her work is defined by a strong visual style and an interest in character, tension and genre.
Rogne wrote, directed and produced the Nordic western short films Never Spoken (2026) and Hear Me Scream (2023). Hear Me Scream won Best Actress and Best Gunfight at the Tombstone Film Festival in Arizona in 2024.
Her earlier short films include Last Night at Airbnb (2019), Sult (2018) Tindergame (2017) and Smile for Sale (2017). Last Night at Airbnb won Best Norwegian Short Film at the Norwegian International Seagull Short Film Festival in 2019. Sult was nominated for Best Norwegian Short Film at Oslo Fusion Film Festival and selected for the Erotic & Bizarre Art Film Festival in Spain.
Music plays an important role in Rogne's filmmaking. She selects music for each film, using it to shape atmosphere, emotion and identity.
