- Daniel Lee Hird is a British actor whose international screen work spans Chinese, Nigerian, and Kenyan productions. In China, he appeared as Fernand, the second lead in Bodyguard (Hu wei zhe, 2021). He later portrayed Ma Ji, the lead antagonist in The Train to the Cliff (Kai wang xuan ya de huo che), released in cinemas across mainland China in April 2026. In African cinema and television, Hird played Boris Bueller, the primary antagonist in the Nigerian-Kenyan co-production Safari, released in Nigerian cinemas in November 2025. He also featured as Rian Fitzpatrick in the Season 2 finale arc of the Showmax series Second Family (2023). On stage, Hird won Best Lead Actor at the 2025 Kenya Theatre Awards for his portrayal of Winston Smith in 1984 (2024). He also starred as Chris Bean and Inspector Carter in The Play That Goes Wrong (2023), which won Best Play at the 2024 Kenya Theatre Awards.
