- Benjamin worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He was a slide operator at the Typhoon Lagoon water park and worked on the Food & Beverage Service team in the Magic Kingdom Park.
- At his proposal to his then-girlfriend Rebeca Acosta Hays Hull, now wife, he folded 1000 paper airplanes. The idea was inspired by the Disney produced animated short film Paperman (2012) and the ancient Japanese legend of folding 1000 origami cranes.
