Troy Guthrie(III)

Originally from Columbia, Missouri, Troy graduated with a BFA in Acting from the USC School of Dramatic Arts (2017). While Troy's acting background began in the theater, he's always dreamed big when it came to the movies. After directing, producing, and co-starring in his own Equity Production of Shakespeare's Henry IV Part I (2018), he shifted his focus to writing as a means to create his own opportunities to act onscreen. He developed So Shot, a story inspired through personal experience and years of bartending. His longtime friend and co-worker Ben Goglia and he both shared the same desire to make a film that felt like the ones that inspired them to pursue a career in the film industry. They founded Guthrie & Goglia Productions as a means to get So Shot started. After two and a half years of work, he's thrilled to share the film with audiences throughout the 2024 festival circuit while continuing to act and develop Guthrie & Goglia's next feature, a biopic set during the civil war later this fall.
