Savanna Crasto

Savanna Crasto was born on the Gold Coast, Australia, to Danish and Indian parents whose cultures gave her an early appreciation for the richness of lives lived beyond her own. Much of her childhood was spent travelling, learning about people, places and the traditions that shape the way we see the world. Whether it was horse riding through the mountains with her family, celebrating Danish Christmases, or growing up in a community where friends became family, these experiences continue to influence the way she approaches both life and storytelling.

Drawn to stories that explore identity, belonging, psychology and human relationships, Savanna has worked across both film and television as an actor while also writing and producing independent feature films through her production company, The Colour Series. Her films have screened theatrically across Europe and reached audiences internationally through streaming, but her greatest inspiration has always come from the people and environments that surround her.

Savanna has studies creative writing and acting at Harvard University, Journalism at The University of Queensland, and Interior design and psychology, all of which align with with her fascination for colour theory, architecture, photography and European cinema. The appreciation for the world beyond what is familiar to her comes from finding beauty in the way spaces, cultures and visual language can shape emotion. Her work has been described as passionate and ambitious, however when asked about it she describes it as "a pursuit of authenticity."
