Originally, Mehmet was only booked for one role on Power Book IV: Force. But after the first day of shooting, show-runner Robert Munic and director of S1EP4 Kieron Hawke agreed they wanted more for the up-and-coming actor, so they created a twin brother for the character of Aleksander named Vlado, who appeared in two more episodes of Season 1, Episodes 8 & 9.
