Biography

Rui Dong is an award-winning director and producer based in Los Angeles. He directed and produced "The Mirror" (2023), which received recognition from many film festivals. He also produced "JOY" (2024), "Sequoia" (2024), "The Serene Place Where the Stars Poop", "Destiny" (2024), "UMIT", and many other short films, web series, commercials, and music videos. The short films he co-produced, "A Better Life" (2023) and "All My Love is Gone", were also recognized and awarded by numerous film festivals.

He graduated with honors from the New York Film Academy's MFA Filmmaking feature film program. With a passion for filmmaking, Rui has also contributed as a judge or screener in many film festivals, including Austin Film Festival, HollyShorts Film Festival, and FOLCS International Short Film Competition.
