Biography

Lisa Steele was born in Massachusetts and attended college at Bryant University, graduating with a degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting. After college, she moved to Long Island and worked on Wall Street for several years, where she received not only her CPA license, but also her Series 7 and Series 27 stockbrokers licenses. Just before she turned 30, she quit the corporate rat race and opened a bookstore on Long Island. After meeting her future husband who was in the Navy stationed first in Pensacola, then Norfolk, VA, Lisa started raising chickens on their small hobby farm outside of the Navy base. She also created the Fresh Eggs Daily brand which reaches nearly 1 million followers worldwide and encompasses a blog, social media and a poultry product line. Lisa and her husband have since moved to a farm in Maine where she writes books, the most recent an egg cookbook for HarperCollins titled The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook, and raises a mixed flock of chickens, ducks and geese. Lisa also produces and hosts the award-winning television show Welcome to my Farm on CreateTV and streaming on Passport. Welcome to my Farm has won 2 Taste awards, 5 Telly awards and been nominated for two regional Emmy awards.
