Jean Kerr Minetti was born on 21 January 1924 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA. She was married to Giacinto Joseph Minetti and Joseph McCarthy. She died on 15 December 1979 in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
An ardent supporter of the rabidly anti-Communist Senator Joseph McCarthy, she agreed to marry him in 1953 and they subsequently adopted a child. McCarthy died less than four years later, only 48 and with his career and reputation (such as it was) in ruins.
