Mike Abrantie Boakye

Mike Abrantie is an accomplished Ghanaian-American Filmmaker, EP, Visual Artist, DJ, and Philanthropist, from the Southside of Chicago. He’s the Co - Founder, and Head of Content of hybrid production & development company "Out The Box Creative Group" as well as Head of Development for the entertainment ecosystem "Creative Cypher". Having grown up on the South side of Chicago to immigrant parents, he honed in on his creative abilities early, utilizing his unique cultural worldviews as a motivational backdrop informing his creative lens. Being an international storyteller his impact can be felt with his contributions in the documentary space, award winning short films, digital series, music videos, and more. As a Culture Producer he has also helped to launch various large scale platforms including Black Star Line Festival in Ghana, and The XL Film Festival in Chicago. He has also worked creatively, and musically, with various internationally acclaimed musical and visual artists such as Burna Boy, Vic Mensa, King Promise, Sons of Sonix, Rotimi, Sarkodie, Kwaku Owusu Achim, Lawrence Agyei, and more via creative direction, live performance, as well as music contribution. He defines his creative and production works as thoughtfully disruptive, and realistically reflective of the black diasporic experience
