Born in Camberwell, South London Richie Lawrie had a very poor, underprivileged upbringing. He was often ridiculed right up to his leaving school age about the most simple things due to the lack of money available for the family to spend. Later in life as Richie got in to the business he did some stage and theatre. Surprisingly to some he is also an accomplished singer and progressed in singing in theatre plays as well and has played the lead vocal in plays including an extended adaptation of The Lion King where he played Scar as well as one of the lead roles. He is also an ex amateur boxer and played football at a fair, semi professional level. He is known for his easily identifiable London ''Cockney'' accent and his voice is very unique which always adds value with certain roles. Actors have often said he has a very powerful voice that commands respect! Richie always prefers to be positive in life on and off screen and has many recommendations from well known actors who have worked with him in previous projects to add to his credentials. Londoner Richie is very passionate about helping and giving back in life too and he one day hopes to set up a charity for less fortunate children that have to constantly go through poverty and mental abuse similar to what he had to endure as a child. He states that children should never have to suffer and should always have a real chance in life to achieve great things.

Being a reggae fan, in fact its my favourite music of all time, and my long driving journey music. I was introduced to the finest reggae DJ/Toaster in the world in my teens. His name is Yellowman (winston foster) This guy has inspired me from day one and after reading about him and his life no one could ever disagree. He continues to inspire me to this day. His music is truly universal and he is accepted and worshipped worldwide. His music will live on for ever and he will always be known as &#39;&#39;King Yellowman.&#39;&#39;
