Shaghayegh Haghdoust is an Iranian filmmaker, artist and educator based in Vancouver. As a new immigrant to Canada and recent graduate in Fine Arts at Emily Carr University, Shaghayegh supplements her own film practice with education through The Cinematheque's young filmmaker starter programs. She explores themes surrounding identity, diaspora connection through immigrant stories and the true meaning of "home."
