Hua Yang Zhang

Canadian actor, classical dancer and aerospace engineer, Hua Yang Zhang, successfully participated in five consecutive world tours while performing with premium dance company, Shen Yun Performing arts, in which he was featured in more than 700 hundred shows at world renowned venues such as the Lincoln Center, Sidney Opera House and Palais de Congrès in Paris. He danced in front of live audience in more than 20 countries and 50 cities around the globe. Hua Yang was born in Zhengzhou China but immigrated to Canada at an early age. While attending middle school in Montreal, he moved to south of the border after being admitted to the prestigious Fei Tian Academy of the Arts of New York in 2007. Shortly afterwards, he was promoted to join Shen Yun Performing Arts during his first year of eligibility.
Since graduating from Fei Tian Academy in 2012, Hua Yang started his own dance school in Montreal and have taught Chinese classical dance for more than six years. He was also invited to teach in Europe to countries such as Germany, United Kingdom, Denmark and France at 3 different occasions. Hua Yang has experience teaching male and female children from all age and levels of dance. With his vast experience in the performing arts, he has also taken supporting and leading roles in large productions such as the 5000 Years of Heroes in Toronto during his spare time. Besides his passion in classical dance and acting, Hua Yang graduated from McGill University in 2018 with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering degree and is currently working in the aerospace industry. He is fluent in French, English and Mandarin Chinese.
