Luc Durand was born on March 20, 1929 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He is known for Sapporo: Planned Growth (1974), City Center and Pedestrians (1974) and Düsseldorf: Balanced Urban Growth (1974). He was married to Michèle Julien. He died on March 24, 2018 in Montréal, Québec, Canada.

Architect, he often worked in New Delhi and with Roger D'Astous, they built the Olympic Village in Montréal.
