Biography

Sean Lohia McParland is an independent producer, writer & director based on the Gold Coast, with roots stretching across New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, and Australia.

With a passion for inclusive storytelling, Sean creates safe, accessible spaces on set and behind the scenes. Through his work with Bus Stop Films, he writes, directs, and mentors emerging filmmakers who are deaf, disabled or neurodiverse - helping to shape a film industry that's more representative, creative, and human.

Sean also runs an independent Australian film production company Our Pictures.
