Federico Robles

Independent filmmaker and producer. Master in Documentary Film at the UAB (Barcelona, Spain). Developed his artistic work between historical research, experimentation and documentary creation. Ddirected and produced the feature films 'Apuntes para una herencia' (An inheritance notes) and 'El hijo del cazador' (The son of the hunter) as well as several short films that have been screened at international festivals and exhibitions. As a member of the production company IDEAS POR ROSCA, he's been working for more than 15 years as director, producer and coordinator in national and international projects (Incaa, Encuentro, Flow, Filmin, Fundación Avina, DeporTV, Al Jazeera, TV3 Cataluña, etc). He teaches Documentary Filmmaking at the UBP University, is in charge of the seminar on Film, Politics and Human Rights in the Diploma in Documentary Filmmaking at the University of Río Cuarto; and he is Director and founder of the Diploma in Contemporary Documentary at the University of Córdoba. The latter is an academic space for audiovisual experimentation with its own production of short films and an active annual agenda of activities to promote and foster non-fiction filmmaking, such as talks, guest lectures, thematic exhibitions, retrospectives, etc.
