  • Production Designer Sophia Uehara holds a BFA from New York University, where she studied Film and Television Production at the Tisch School of the Arts.

    She has served as PD on numerous narrative and commercial projects. Her most recent narrative work can be seen in 2023's short film If I Die in America, 2022's Swimming for Shore directed by Bertram, and the 2023 feature film Our Son directed by Bill Oliver. Uehara also worked on the 2021 feature film, Mary, and on the 2021 short films Neptune's Dreams, First Time Long Time, Chico Virtual and Witness to a Devouring Monster.

    Other film credits include short films: Gold Token (2020), Limitations of Life (2019), Ana Wa Enti (2019), and The Mood in the United States Today (2019).

    On the commercials side, Uehara did production design for Starbucks's 2023 A Little Kindness commercial and for IndyCar's 2023 Track Menace ad. Commercials she worked on in 2022 include Today Meet Tomorrow for Google Cloud, Dream in Black for AT&T, Spectacular Now for the U.S. Open, and Drizly's Ding Dong It's Drizly. In 2019, she was the production designer for Coke Regal's You Didn't Know That? spot.

    In the music video world, Uehara was production designer on Delilah Bell's Nothing Lasts Forever (2023), Chelsea Cutler's The Lifeboat's Empty! (2022), Steve Aoki & HRVY's Save Me (2022), and on Audrey Nuna's Liquid Breakfast Deluxe (2021). Uehara is based between New York City and Los Angeles.
