Biography

Lisa Ranran Hu is a Chinese film director and editor based in the United States, known for "Escape", "Heading to the East", and "Three Colors". Her work centers underrepresented characters and explores urban Beijing and the Asian diaspora through themes of self-discovery, intimacy, and human connection.

Hu wrote, directed, and edited "Escape", which received recognition from "TIME" and "Forbes", and edited "Three Colors", winner of the Audience Award at the Slamdance Film Festival. In addition to narrative films, she has edited commercial content for brands including Coca-Cola.
