Raised on a farm in rural England, Caroline knew well the feeling of living close to the land.
A fascination with the natural world led her to study zoology and work for the BBC Natural History Unit, and as photographer/videographer for the Earthwatch Institute.
After a brief foray hosting science radio with the BBC World Service, Caroline brought one particular story about climate change to the multi-award winning DOX Productions. That documentary, Global Dimming, went on to win the Wildscreen Planet Earth award - and led Caroline to a job offer in California and a National Geographic co-production.
By 2010, she decided to self-train in all aspects of cinematography and editing, and founded The Hive Studios as a successful producer of branded content. The pandemic caused her to refocus her lens back on her love for documentary and she filmed three award-winning films in collaboration with SAND (The Art of Life, The Wisdom of Trauma and most recently Where Olive Trees Weep).
Today, Caroline continues to film, edit and direct documentaries while also filming a long-term biography on the Biotech maverick Dr Patrick Soon-Shiong.
