'Gaalib' will shed light on Afzal Guru's son Gaalib Guru . Afzal Guru was convicted for his role in the 2001 Indian Parliament attack and sentenced to death. It was upheld by the Supreme Court and he was hanged to death on Feb 9, 2013.

Nikkhil Pitaley is from Aurangabad, Maharashtra. His passion to become an actor started from his teens. He is a dropped out student of Btech Civil Engineering from MIT College of Aurangabad. He then moved to Mumbai and trained himself in Advance Camera Acting, Dance and Mix Martial Arts (MMA). He was approached for Chapekar Brothers by the writer of the film Dhiraj Mishra, Unfortunately Nikkhil turned down the offer as he was still an actor in the making. He kept on waiting for the right opportunities for next one year. He got selected for Gaalib here he's playing the protagonist. Which is his debut film as a main lead.
