  • Sean Young is an award-winning Canadian producer, writer and director. His most notable works as a producer, Samantha (2018) and Nature Boy (2018), have been celebrated at festivals across the globe collectively winning: Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Scare, Best Actor, Best Editor, Best Sound and a Grand Jury Prize.

    Other projects of note include Poly (2019) and The Liminal (2018).

    After graduating with distinction in 2018 from studying film production in Toronto, Sean accepted the position of executive assistant under executive producer Andrew Barnsley (Schitt's Creek (2015)) at Project 10 Productions during the first season rollout of Jann (2019), a 6x30 comedy series co-produced with Seven24 Films for CTV/Bell Media starring Canadian singer/songwriter Jann Arden.

    Completing his contract, Young founded Electronic Earth, the production company he now produces under and where he's presented several projects including Painting On the Wall (2019) and The Last of Us (2020) amongst others.

    Sean resides in Toronto, Canada where he has recently completed work on Precipice (2018) (his debut project as writer and director) that acts as the prologue to the science-fiction series he's developing; is in post-production on his first feature length sports-documentary Triggered; and is a member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television.

    With specialization in narrative fiction, cinematic gaming sequences and both controlled (studio interviews) and uncontrolled (live event) storytelling, Sean's experience in the science-fiction, drama, horror and documentary genres make him an engaging and powerful filmmaker.
