Carlo Sassi was born on October 1, 1929 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. He died on September 28, 2025 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy.

Joined RAI in 1960 after a short career as a footballer and over the years he was one of the first journalists to introduce the so-called "moviola" in the commentary on football, that is, the images of a certain action shown in slow motion.

A well-known former Italian sports journalist who had a long television career at RAI.
