Biography

Donald Bain was born on March 6, 1935 in Mineola, Long Island, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for Come Fly with Me: The Story of Pan Am (2011). He was married to Renee Paley-Bain and Jacqueline Bain. He died on October 21, 2017 in White Plains, New York, USA.

Prolific writer who penned many 'Mirder She wrote' novels among his about 80 books.

He graduated from Purdue University in Indiana, where he studied speech and drama, and played drums and vibraphone in jazz groups. He served in the Air Force as a censor for U.S. armed forces TV programs in Saudi Arabia.

He was a former broadcaster and part-time jazz musician who began working as a ghost writer in the early 1960s. Although he wrote several books on history and other subjects under his real name, he spent most of his career writing novels, speeches, detective stories, and racy sex romps under assumed names.
