Johnathan Sharp is an Actor, Producer, Director and Screenwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. After his studies at The University of Western Ontario and Trent University, Johnathan spent several years working in the entertainment industry in Brisbane and Los Angeles before finally returning to Toronto in 2017. Since then, he has made a name for himself on the Toronto film scene as a Producer to watch in the coming years, with a focus of bringing more LGBTQ+ stories to life.
To date, Johnathan has Produced over 10 Feature Films, primarily in the $4-5 million range, including the upcoming animated features "The Christmas Witch Trial of La Befana," starring Oscar-winner Anjelica Huston and Danny Huston, and the TIFF-Market Select "Falsehood." He has also written 3 films that have featured some of Canada's top actors on the big screen; "Surfacing," "Behind Closed Doors," and "Hard Choices." Prior to his career as a Producer taking off, Johnathan held a variety of on-set positions on several films, including as a Line Producer, Production Manager, Production Coordinator, Accountant, and Second Assistant Director, in films ranging from micro-budgets to $50 million+ budgets.
On screen, he can be seen starring in the upcoming films "Surfacing" and "Behind Closed Doors" and will be Directing his third feature film, to be shot in Europe entitled "Watch Me" in March of 2026.
