Biography

Franco Ceredi is an independent filmmaker based in Cesena, Italy. After graduating in Economics and working as a professional video maker, he developed a strong interest in acting and theatre, attending workshops and participating in stage productions. This background shaped his approach to directing non professional actors, focusing on authenticity, spontaneity and human centered storytelling. He has written, directed and edited three feature films: The Gift (2015), We’ll See... (2017) and Call Me Joe (2025). Call Me Joe has received international recognition, multiple awards for Best Film and Best Director, and is listed on MUBI. Ceredi also serves as a Judge at the World Indie Film Awards (WIFA), an IMDb qualifying competition, bringing his experience in independent cinema to the evaluation of international works.
