She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2009 New Years Honours List for her services to charity. She and her husband, Kenny Dalglish, found the Marina Dalglish Cancer Appeal in 2004. She and her husband have four children; Kelly, Paul, Lynsey and Lauren.
