- Vaughan Oliver was a director, known for Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016) and Pixies: Debaser (1989). He died on December 29, 2019 in the UK.
- Famous graphic designer for the 4AD record label.
- Graduated from Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic and moved to London where he started the design studio 23 Envelope with photographer and filmmaker Nigel Grierson.
- Designed record sleeves for 4AD bands, including Mojave 3, Lush, Cocteau Twins, The Breeders, This Mortal Coil, Pale Saints, Pixies, and Throwing Muses. Oliver also designed record sleeves for other artists such as David Sylvian, The Golden Palominos, and Bush.
- In 2011, Oliver was awarded an honorary Master of Arts from the University for the Creative Arts, where he taught on the Epsom campus as a visiting professor.
- A book collecting his work, Vaughan Oliver: Archive, was published in 2018.
