Biography

I'm an actor because I'm a storyteller and have been for as long as I can remember. I love to tell stories, and at the moment the best way I know how to do that is through portraying a character within a story. I love to tell stories because of all the reasons we need to hear them-to be entertained, to be enlightened, to be made to think in order to learn and grow. We need stories in order to make us feel and empathize with ourselves and others, and ultimately, I believe, to connect with our common humanity.

I've been trained in the Meisner Technique, The Barrow Group approach and for the last two years the Tom Todoroff Method via the Todoroff Acting Studio and Conservatory in NYC. Today my technique is an amalgamation of the things I've learned that speak to me and make me most able to fully bring myself to the role I'm playing. What I know for sure is that I'll always want to continue to learn and improve. My next dream is to write and direct, as well as act. I figure the clock is ticking, let's see how close I can get to being the actor/writer/director I know I can be in the meantime and have a great time learning and performing along the way!

In my spare time I love to travel to wherever his children are to spend time with them, write, play the drums, cook Persian food, mix cocktails and stay fit by playing tennis. My years playing Division 1 college tennis helped guide me toward my new career. Being on a tennis team is a lot like making a movie or being in a play. We are all individual players, however together we combine our talents to make each other better and to achieve a common goal--whether it's winning a match, filming a great scene or putting on a successful run. In every case, the goal is to support one another so that we can learn and improve our performances. If we can do that, then we're successful, no matter what the outcome may be. I want to make everyone I'm working with look like they're the best in the world at what they do, from fellow actors, the director, the crew-everyone. It's my honor and pleasure to get to do what I do for a living.
