Jake Bekker is an Australian filmmaker, actor, and producer based in Melbourne, Victoria. He is the writer and director of the short film Echo Chamber, a mystery/sci-fi inspired project shaped by his love of atmospheric storytelling, character-driven suspense, and nostalgic genre cinema.

As an actor, Jake has performed in both stage and screen projects, including It Is Finished and Echo Chamber. His creative work is driven by a passion for stories that blend mystery, emotion, wonder, and adventure, with influences spanning film, television, games, and live performance.

Alongside his filmmaking and acting work, Jake has a strong background in live broadcast and event production. He is the founder of Melbourne Live, a broadcast and AV production company, and has worked on live productions including Cosentino’s Tricked Live show. This technical production experience informs his approach to directing, giving him a practical understanding of cameras, lighting, audio, and live storytelling.

Jake continues to develop original projects across film, online media, and live experiences, with a long-term vision to create uplifting, cinematic entertainment for wide audiences.
