Biography

Debi Wisch is an acclaimed New York-based documentary film producer known for her art-focused projects. She has earned numerous honors, including an Emmy nomination for her production of the critically-lauded The Price of Everything. The film premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival and was later licensed by HBO and 50 international markets through Dogwoof. Wisch also produced the award-winning documentary The Art of Making It, which provides a behind-the-scenes look at emerging artists and won the Audience Award at SXSW 2022 and premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival and Doc NYC. She also produced Love, Cecil, which premiered at the 2016 Telluride Film Festival. Her most recent production, Crossing the River, about the world's oldest living Holocaust survivor siblings, premiered at the 2024 New York Jewish Film Festival at Lincoln Center.

At this time, Wisch has several anticipated films in production. She is working on Bury Me Standing, examining controversial Confederate monuments through renowned curator Hamza Walker's 2025 exhibition Monuments. She is also producing an upcoming film about the influential artist and activist Marilyn Minter. Additionally, Wisch is producing A Test of Civilization, a documentary thriller revisiting the events leading up to World War II through the prism of never-before-seen telegrams.

In addition to her production work, Wisch serves on the boards of several arts organizations including Film at Lincoln Center, which also produces the New York Film Festival, and YoungArts. She also serves on the Director's Advisory Board at Stanford University's Cantor Arts Center and co-heads Hunter College's Arts Advisory Board and supports numerous organizations that focus on emerging artists and arts education.
