Xavier Velasquez

Xavier Velasquez is a U.S. Army veteran and accomplished filmmaker with a distinctive style that blends technical precision with emotionally resonant storytelling. After serving his country, including a deployment to Afghanistan, Xavier pursued his passion for filmmaking by studying at several prestigious institutions. He sharpened his cinematography and photography skills at the New York Film Academy, expanded his knowledge of film production at the Nashville Film Institute, and mastered sound design at Dark Horse Institute. A recent graduate of the Steadicam Operators Association, Xavier now serves as an adjunct professor and Director of Photography (DP) faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). As the founder of Eckz Productions LLC, he continues to produce films that captivate audiences with their visual depth and storytelling. Xavier's work is known for its dynamic camera work, immersive soundscapes, and a commitment to authentic, character-driven narratives.
