André Kadi is a French-Canadian director, screenwriter, musician and producer known for his distinctive 2D animation style and poetic storytelling. He co-founded Du Coup Animation and Du Coup Production and created several acclaimed youth series, including MaXi, Humanimals, Dounia, and Frida c'est moi. His feature Dounia and the Princess of Aleppo (2022) earned international praise for its sensitive portrayal of childhood and resilience. Kadi later directed The Great White North and Hola Frida (2024), inspired by Frida Kahlo's early life. Blending music, imagination, and emotional depth, Kadi's work bridges art and empathy for audiences of all ages.
