Shane Alexander was born and raised in Southern California and grew up in Hemet, California. He is the only child of Laurie Little, a bartender, and John Sevier, a diesel engine mechanic. From a young age, Alexander trained extensively in traditional martial arts and Eastern sword disciplines, developing a foundation that would later shape his work in film and television.
During his high school years, Alexander began taking theater classes at the age of 14, where he developed an interest in acting and performance. He continued studying theater through his first two years of college before transitioning into on-camera work. His early experience included local commercials and roles in independent films.
At the age of 25, Alexander shifted his focus toward stunt performance and attended David Boushey’s International Stunt School in Seattle, Washington. He furthered his training through additional stunt workshops in Los Angeles and Canada. Drawing on his martial arts background and professional stunt training, he began working across network television, studio productions, independent films, and digital projects.
Alexander specializes in hand-to-hand combat, sword work, falls, stunt driving, and action performance. He has served as a stunt double for Jefferson White in Death of a Brewer and Thom Mathews in Never Hike Alone 2, and as a body double for Kyle Chandler in the Warner Bros. television series Lanterns.
In 2021, Alexander founded the Southern California Stunt Crew in San Diego, a collective focused on training, collaboration, and action performance for film and television productions.
