Biography

Born in Russia in 1990, Andrei Jdanov discovered a deep passion for action cinema from an early age, inspired by Jackie Chan's classic films and war movies. He began practicing martial arts at the age of six, quickly showing exceptional physical talent. After moving to Italy at twelve, he expanded his training, exploring disciplines such as acrobatics, stage combat, and weapons handling.

At eighteen, a life-changing encounter shaped his professional path: he met Franco Salamon and Giorgio Antonini, two key figures in the Italian stunt scene. Under their mentorship, he pursued a rigorous and multidisciplinary education, earning scuba certifications, sports driving licenses for cars and motorcycles, a nautical license, and completing courses in horseback riding, fencing, and more.

In 2015, during the filming of Europe Raiders, he was introduced to the world of stunt rigging, becoming fascinated by the advanced wire work used to create breathtaking scenes. Over time, he became one of the most respected head riggers in both national and international productions, working with renowned professionals like Eunice Huthart and Liang Yang.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with acclaimed directors such as Ridley Scott, Danny Boyle, Cary Fukunaga, Nanni Moretti, and Niccolò Ammaniti, and has doubled for international stars like Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, and Jean-Claude Van Damme.

After the passing of his mentors and close friends, Andrei founded AJSTUNT as a tribute to their legacy. The company brings together a team of elite stunt professionals with one clear mission: delivering visually stunning action sequences with uncompromising safety and creative precision.
