Biography

Chloé Philbert Steen is a versatile Costume Designer and Assistant Costume Designer within the film and television industry. She has been a part of creating characters for film and television for multiple different networks during her 11 year journey within the industry.

Chloé learned how to sew at a very young age while living on a military base in Kaiserslautern, Germany where they offered knitting, sewing, and pottery classes along with various other options. As a young child she gravitated towards making and creating patterns for pillows for her love ones as a hobby. In her teen years Chloé took interest and worked in the pageant and formal wear industry where she learn how to hem, pin, and measure for full suits, consult with different clients to chose evening wear, etc.

Ultimately it wasn't until Chloé's junior year of undergrad where she began to alter the trajectory of her journey by entering the film and television industry as an costume intern where she was compensated via $50 of gas weekly and years of knowledge. :-) Through her senior year of college she eagerly interned within the industry. Meeting and working with anyone who would train her. The day after graduation Chloé landed her first gig as a paid production assistant within the costume department for a film and television.

From there Chloé worked her way up from a production assistant to a Background Costumer, Set Costumer, Truck Costumer, Key Costumer, to joining the Costume Designers Guild 892 as Assistant Costume Designer, on to Costume Designer. Her work as Assistant Costume Designer has been featured on networks and platforms such as Netflix, Starz, MAX, Disney+, and Hart Beat Productions.
