Franco Gomez-Maicas is an American actor, known for Somewhere in Queens (2023), Fresh Kills (2024), and Lucy Is A Good Girl (2026). He has an extensive background of professional training that includes The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The Stella Adler Studio of Acting, The Barrow Group, and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Maicas's work has been described as reminiscent of an old school actor existing in a new generation. He is of Cuban and Italian descent.
He made his theatrical debut in Ray Romano's Somewhere in Queens (2023), cast as Sebastian Maniscalco's son, Luigi. Anchoring the core ensemble alongside Romano, Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Lo Bianco, the film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and secured a wide theatrical release.
Maicas subsequently starred in Jennifer Esposito’s crime drama Fresh Kills (2024), cast as the heartthrob Frankie, fiancé to Connie (Odessa A’zion). The film premiered at Tribeca before securing multiple festival honors including Best Narrative Feature and Best Ensemble with a 2024 theatrical release.
Franco next stars as the lead Brice in the upcoming psychological thriller, Lucy Is A Good Girl (2026), the golden-boy collegiate wrestler harboring dark secrets.
Maicas can also be seen and heard starring in voice-over and performance-capture work for major video game and film studios.
