Casey Wayne Wright is an actor and filmmaker based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He spent much of his childhood and adolescence playing competitive baseball and first enrolled in a theater class largely to satisfy a school credit requirement. A snowboarding accident ended his athletic career, and during his recovery he began pursuing acting seriously instead.
He took his first lead in the independent feature Night of Adventure in 2019 and has worked steadily in Utah's film and television industry since, playing Benji in the series Magnum P.I. (2021), Jacob Rinsdorf in the sports drama Fighting Chance (2022), and Dan in Kevin Costner's Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2 (2024). He also appears in Homestead: The Series.
Wright works on both sides of the camera, directing, shooting, and editing his own short films alongside his on-camera work, and he continues to develop original feature material. He remains based in Salt Lake City, where he also works as a photographer.
