He won an ACTRA Award for Outstanding Performance for The Dogs, a psychological thriller, and a Sundance Special Jury Award / Ensemble for hit indie comedy Theater Camp. On the stage, Donovan portrayed Henry Creel in the staged reading pitch to Netflix for Broadway's Stranger Things: The First Shadow.
