Dea Maria Racunica is a Croatian actress known for her emotionally raw and instinct-driven performances on both stage and screen. A graduate of the Academy of Dramatic Art in Split, she has performed in numerous productions at the Croatian National Theatre, including Cat on a Hot Tin Roof by Tennessee Williams, Psychosis/Desire by Sarah Kane, and Judita by Marko Marulic.
She gained critical acclaim for her autobiographical and documentary one person play called Newborn women, which earned her the Dean's Award for outstanding artistic achievement.
Dea has appeared in the films Nature and community, Sunrise and MF and she plays the lead role of Ana in the upcoming movie of the cult horror film She - butterfly.
In addition to acting, she is a trained singer with a background in contemporary dance, and has experience in stage combat. She speaks Croatian and English fluently.
