Biography

Tanuj Vyas is an independent filmmaker from Rajasthan, India, whose work combines visual symbolism with socially rooted storytelling. He has written and directed four short films, including Jhoothe Taare (The Lying Stars) (2016) and Think Power (2017), both of which were selected for multiple international film festivals. His debut feature, Namak (Salt) (2024), a Rajasthani-language crime drama, won four awards at the 2022 Rajasthan International Film Festival, including Best Film. His second feature, DJ Marwar (2014), is a vibrant musical rooted in regional culture. Both films premiered on the STAGE App OTT. Beyond filmmaking, Vyas has worked as a Creative Associate and Executive Manager with veteran actor Annu Kapoor, contributing to over 48 episodes of India's leading radio show, Suhana Safar with Annu Kapoor. As former Content Head - Rajasthani at STAGE App OTT, he played a key role in shaping India's first dialect-based streaming platform. His films reflect a profound commitment to cultural authenticity, experimentation, and storytelling with a clear purpose.
