Ranw Aso-Rashid

Ranw Aso-Rashid is the CEO of AR Studios, an award-winning PACT-member developing high-end cinema and HETV for global audiences. A filmmaker and science teacher, he holds a Biomedical Sciences degree, is completing a scholarship Masters in STEM Education at King’s College London, and is due to commence an MPhil/PhD in STEM education leadership. Aso-Rashid wrote, produced, and directed the international co-production Our Little Act of Rebellion (acquired by Minute Shorts), and his BIFA-qualified film The Silent Choice is tracking for BAFTA with upcoming distribution on Amazon Prime. His debut feature documentary, The Lost Photography of Kurdistan, is executive produced by BAFTA-winner Marcus Liversedge. Alongside his film career, Aso-Rashid is a Jack Petchey Award-winning Teacher of Science who has provided mentorship and first paid film industry jobs to over 150 students since 2017. He serves as a judge for the British Short Film Awards.
