Biography

Crystal Nguyen (she/her) is a disabled actor and performance maker. Before making her TV debut with the ground-breaking portrayal of the openly queer and disabled "Blue" in the anthology series Erotic Stories (Lingo Pictures & SBS), Crystal has cultivated a dynamic performance calibre including theatre, dance and musical prowess in Perth, Western Australia. In 2024, Crystal lent her voice to 8 year-old animated character "Decks", the witty DJ on wheels in the inaugural NITV and Netflix co-commission Eddie's Lil' Homies (Highly Spirited Pictures). Crystal is joining the impressive ensemble cast for the limited series Plum (Modern Convict Films), set to premiere in early 2025 on ABC. Nguyen - among other trailblazing disabled creatives - contributes to the ripples charging towards a more inclusive, equitable and vibrant arts industry, one narrative at a time.
