Biography

Mika Amonsen, originally from a small town just outside Toronto, Canada, was raised in a family that deeply valued the arts. His mother, a dancer, and his father, a rock 'n' roll enthusiast, supported his early passion for music. At the age of 13, Mika picked up the electric guitar and spent the next five years playing in a rock band. The band recorded a ten-track album, performed at large local venues, and had the privilege of opening for notable Canadian acts like Kim Mitchell.

After high school, Mika transitioned from music to academics, attending university while still maintaining a strong connection to his creative passions. Although he'd always been a fan of film and had taken drama in high school, Mika never imagined acting as a career path. However, his growing fascination with actors like Tom Hardy, Heath Ledger, and Christian Bale led his peers to encourage him to explore the craft further.

By the end of his first year in university, Mika shifted his focus to acting, enrolling in classes in Toronto and signing with an agency soon after. His dedication quickly paid off, with notable roles alongside Alan Ritchson in Reacher, a collaboration with director Eli Roth in Thanksgiving.
