Anna Salles

Anna Salles writes bold, character-driven stories about power, desire, and identity, focused on queer women navigating real and fantastical worlds. A Brazilian screenwriter and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, she holds two MFAs in filmmaking and screenwriting from the New York Film Academy. Before that, she published poetry and reviewed films for newspapers in the capital of Brazil while studying theater as a performer, writer, and costume designer. That multidisciplinary foundation now feeds her work that ranges across romances, dramas, fantasy epics, and transmedia storytelling.
