Trace De La Torre is an award-winning producer and executive recognized for her diverse contributions to the entertainment industry. She is known for her work on Bezos: The Beginning (2023), the first biopic on Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and the thriller Craving (2023) from iconic horror director Jason Horton. Previous notable projects include D-Railed (2018) and Lullaby (2017), from acclaimed director Dale Fabrigar.
Trace began her career at Warner Bros. Studios, across New Line Cinema and Miramax during the height of their cultural dominance.
Her early work supported the production, marketing, and distribution of globally influential blockbusters and Oscar-winning prestige films - including: The Matrix; Harry Potter; The Lord of the Rings; The Dark Knight; Ocean's Eleven; Beowulf; Constantine; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; Troy; A.I.; I Am Legend; V for Vendetta; Superman Returns; Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines; The Last Samurai; Blood Diamond; Slumdog Millionaire; as well as Chicago; Frida; Shakespeare in Love; Seven; Training Day; Y Tu Mama Tambien; and Amores Perros.
She also contributed to the launch of pop-cultural staples including: Legally Blonde; Miss Congeniality; Two Weeks Notice; The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants; My Big Fat Greek Wedding; The Wedding Singer; The Wedding Planner; Wedding Crashers; and The Iron Giant.
She later transitioned to Warner Bros. Domestic Television, working on successful shows including Two and a Half Men, and The Big Bang Theory.
After a decade at the studio, Trace was recruited to London as a publishing executive to oversee sales, marketing, and distribution for the female-led vigilante series Velica, created by iconic American London-based illustrator Ken Johnson. Drawing artistic comparisons to films such as Sin City and The Spirit, she successfully helped steer the brand across international markets spanning 10+ countries.
In 2012, she founded Trace Entertainment-later re-branded as Trace Media-producing content across film, TV, comics, animation, publishing, and immersive media, as well as consulting for various film festivals and clients.
By 2013, in association with Orange Mangrove Publishing UK, Trace had published four #1 Best-Selling Paranormal Romance Novellas via Amazon. Written by British author James D. Layton, these novellas include Letters to an Angel; Sisters of Absinthe: The Velveteen Girl; Sisters of Absinthe: Jack Sutherland; and Sisters of Absinthe: The Green Lamp.
In 2016, in collaboration with a talented crew of filmmakers from the Inland Empire, now collectively known as Los Angeles-based Wild7 Studios, Trace wrote, directed, and produced her debut short horror-Luna-a neo-noir vampire origins thriller inspired by true events. Long in gestation between various projects, it was finally completed on September 18, 2022. Its long-awaited release is to be announced.
In July 2017, continuing her commitment to impactful storytelling, Trace served as Executive Producer on AT&T/Warner Shape film competition finalist The Protege. From filmmaker Lovie Johnson, the short is a purpose-driven outreach film addressing issues against child abuse, domestic violence, and human trafficking. It has earned recognition within the industry and numerous awards.
In the fall of 2017, Trace teamed up with director Dale Fabrigar as Executive Producer on the short horror film Lullaby. Written by prolific Penguin Random House horror author Marc Paoletti, Lullaby was completed in October 2017 and won multiple film awards, in addition to being an Official Selection at Academy Award-winning actress Geena Davis's female-centric Bentonville International Film Festival (BIFF) in April 2018. The BIFF Institute is the only global research-based organization working collectively within the industry to create gender balance, foster inclusion, and reduce negative stereotyping in entertainment media.
In May 2018, Trace re-teamed with Dale as Associate Producer on the feature film D-Railed with esteemed industry producer Suzanne DeLaurentiis. It screened in Los Angeles on September 30 and Philadelphia on October 7, making the rounds at the 2018 American Film Market in Santa Monica. It was an Official Selection of the 2018 New York City Horror Film Festival and had its red-carpet release on December 1 at The Tribeca Film Center in Manhattan. It was released on multiple streamers and retail direct on August 6, 2019. To date, D-Railed has earned over 100+ film awards and nominations and continues to rack up global sales.
Trace expanded her portfolio with projects like the psychological thriller Todd and the action film Prey of Wrath, showcasing her dedication to diverse narratives and empowering roles for women in film.
In June 2019, Trace started production on Todd in Orlando, Florida. Starring Hans Hernke of Attack of the Unknown (2020) and iconic '80s actor/comedian Michael Winslow of Police Academy (1984-1994), and Spaceballs (1987), Todd delves into the unsettling journey of a man consumed by his inner demons.
Completed in August 2019 and released through Bayview Entertainment for U.S. streaming on March 16, 2021, Todd was an Official Selection at the Horror Lust Film Festival and the Popcorn International Film Festival, while also making appearances at various other film festivals. In November 2019, Trace collaborated with Indonesian action film director Benny Tjandra and Japanese writer/director Doug Tochioka as Executive Producer on the female-led action film Prey of Wrath. Inspired by Lyudmilla Pavlichenko, the world's deadliest female sniper, it stars rising Russian actress and influencer Tatiana Neva, alongside Russian actor and martial artist Gray Michael Sallies, with legendary action icon Cynthia Rothrock.
Prey of Wrath wrapped production in December 2023 in Los Angeles and had its Los Angeles red-carpet release in August 2024. It is currently in escrow and coming to screens in 2026!
In January 2021, Trace started production on the sci-fi fantasy creature-action short, The Hunt: Savage Within, with French powerhouse Z-Team Films and director/fight choreographer Fabian Garcia. The film offers an exhilarating journey through the eerie woods of Northern California, where a female park ranger and her formidable troop confront an unearthly threat in a high-octane, edge-of-your-seat action thriller. Filmed in Santa Cruz, California, the project was completed in January 2021 and had its red-carpet premiere on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Raleigh Studios Hollywood.
Following its wide release on YouTube on August 20, 2021, it quickly earned over 10,000 views. Receiving acclaim in the film festival circuit, it earned multiple awards including a Hollywood Foreign Press Association scholarship for promising young directors at the Asian World Film Festival on November 11, 2021, in Beverly Hills, California.

Produced by Miami-based SpanglishMedia, Bezos stars actor and producer Armando Gutierrez as Jeff Bezos, alongside Alexandria R. Mitchell portraying his influential wife, MacKenzie Scott.
The script, penned by Allison Burnett and R.V. Romero-known for their work on Autumn in New York (2000) and Underworld: Awakening (2012)-is directed by Indonesian filmmaker Khoa Le, acclaimed for Walt Before Disney (2015).
Bezos was completed in October 2021 and premiered on the Miami red carpet in July 2022, followed by its market screening at the American Film Market in November 2022. It officially debuted at the Chandler International Film Festival on January 21, 2023, earning nominations in three categories and securing a win for Armando Gutierrez as Best Actor.
Distributed worldwide by Vision Films, Bezos was released on VOD on January 24, 2023.
