Biography

Stephen Hage has appeared on stage with Twin Cities theater organizations, including Minnesota Opera, Mill City Summer Opera, Artistry, and the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. He is active in the Twin Cities' film community, having appeared in numerous feature films, short films, commercials, and music videos, in leading, supporting and background roles. Behind the scenes, Stephen has served in a range of additional capacities on film projects, including production design, script editing, and as a behind-the-scenes photographer. He's done marketing for Full Circle Theater Company, is the Producer for the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, as well as photographer for both companies. He dedicates his work on the stage, in film and all that he does to his son and daughters, and to his lovely and loving wife, Lara.

Graduated from Saint Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Religion. Graduated from Concordia University, Saint Paul, Minnesota, with a Master of Arts in Organizational Management. Studied Theology and English Literature at Cambridge University. Graduated from Yale University Divinity School, with a Master of Arts in Religion.

Born in Duluth, Minnesota, raised in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, currently lives in Edina, Minnesota.

He is of Norwegian, German, English, Scottish, and Welsh ancestry.

Stephen is deeply grateful for the privilege of being an actor in an extraordinarily welcoming, creative community that fosters a wealth of performance opportunities, both in theater and in film. As Stephen often says to his fellow performers before the cameras roll or the curtain rises, "Hey guys, not everybody gets to do this!".
