Busifan

Yang Zhigang, known better by his online moniker "Busifan," was born in Hangzhou City in the Zhejiang Province in China. Originally beginning in telecommunications, he eventually became a self-taught animator on the internet. It is online, during the 2000s Flash boom of Chinese online cartoons, that Zhigang made a name for himself. He eventually garnered the attention of veteran animator Pan Bin, who hired him and several other Flash animators to work on a show called "Mee's Forest." From there, Busifan continued steadily working in the animation industry and had a major breakthrough with his debut feature film "Dahufa" (eng. The Guardian), which made waves for being a mature, violent film that somehow made it past Chinese censorship. For his accomplishments in the industry, Zhigang became a mainstay in the cultural zeitgeist of Chinese animation.
